Background and experience

I qualified in medicine in 1983 and have spent more than four decades working across hospital medicine, general practice and the healthcare industry.

I have worked in facial aesthetics for more than 18 years. My approach draws on that experience, with particular emphasis on careful consultation, individual suitability and considered decision-making.

Professional registration

I am registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) without a current licence to practise medicine in the United Kingdom.

My registration status can be verified through the GMC Medical Register.

Registration without a licence does not authorise me to practise medicine in the UK or prescribe medicines.

The clinic and prescribing arrangements

I work at Dr Hemba Medical Aesthetics in Old Portsmouth, where appointments and clinical records are managed through the clinic's systems.

Dr Hemba is responsible for prescribing prescription-only treatments following an appropriate individual clinical assessment.

My own involvement in consultations and treatment administration is subject to the applicable professional, prescribing, competence and indemnity requirements.

Consultations and patient care

I believe patients should have the information and time they need to make decisions about their care.

Consultations include consideration of individual suitability, realistic expectations, potential benefits and risks, alternatives and appropriate aftercare.

Treatment is not always advisable, and there is no obligation to proceed following a consultation.
